Pyonkee is a versatile platform for fostering creativity and innovation. Derived from the open-source code of MIT Media Lab's "Scratch 1.4," Pyonkee maintains full compatibility with this predecessor. This compatibility allows for leveraging millions of existing Scratch projects as valuable points of reference.

The user-friendly interface of Pyonkee is meticulously optimized for touch-based devices. Eliminating the need for cumbersome typing or a traditional mouse, users can effortlessly write programs from any location. Additionally, Pyonkee seamlessly integrates features like pinch-in/out gestures and font scaling tailored for smaller devices. With built-in tools like a sound recorder and camera, users can effortlessly incorporate custom sounds and images into their projects, enabling the fusion of multiple media types within a single programming space.

Enabling seamless project sharing capabilities, Pyonkee facilitates the distribution of creations through AirDrop, email, iCloud, and various other cloud storage services.

Starting from version 2.1, users gain access to program creation utilizing various iPad sensors and the Mesh network protocol. Version 2.3 enhances user experience by incorporating over 100 instruments within the sound block functionality. Users also have the flexibility to explore sounds from other synthesizer applications through Virtual MIDI support.

Version 2.20 introduces connectivity with micro:bit devices, enabling data retrieval from diverse sensors and the transmission of analog/digital signals to the pins. This integration significantly broadens programming horizons and opens up a plethora of new possibilities for creative exploration.
